The Casino Dealer School at the Meadows Casino

Casino dealer school is now officially in session for prospective casino dealers in Pittsburgh. Hundreds of dealer students experienced their first day of lesson at the Meadows Casino facility. The gaming establishment needs to fill five hundred dealer jobs in their facility.

Diana Radabaugh, a floor trainer at the Meadows Casino, said on April 13th, 2010, that it is just the second day of training and they are teaching their students to cut checks. That is just one of the things that potential casino dealers will be doing for the next eight weeks of studying the games of craps, roulette and blackjack.

Radabaugh said that they will be teaching their students to cut checks everyday since it is something they needed to master. She added that students also need how to properly shuffle cards and accurately calculate payouts so they will be learning something each day.

The first four weeks of the lessons are all about technical skills. The next four weeks will teach dealers regarding how to properly interact with gamers-like how properly smile, make each one feel welcome and making each game a positive learning experience.

Radabaugh said that it is important that dealers can entertain players as they are dealing the cards since they will encounter players that are not in a good mood.

She added that dealers should be able to make unhappy players smile so it is important to have a winning personality aside from having excellent skills in craps, blackjack and roulette.
